How to promote yourself in a no promo Facebook Group in an authentic, mindful, non sleazy way but that title was way too long!
In this blog I am going to share with you a couple of juicy tips that will allow you to promote yourself in Facebook Groups that don’t allow promo. Disclaimer, please always check the rules of the Facebook Group if you are new to that group because no one wants to get removed and no one enjoys removing people from their group.

Have you ever joined a Facebook Group that has your ideal clients in but you find out that it’s a no promo Facebook Group? It can be really disappointing and frustrating because we all want to grow our business, right?
I have a couple of tips that will help you promote yourself without breaking the rules and without being sleazy.
Tip 1
Be helpful to others within the Facebook Group. Give more than you receive.
If other members of the group are asking for help, support or need a boost, help them out. If you don’t know the answer to the question, can you offer support or tell them you are experiencing the same?
You want to be the cheerleader of the group. I’m not saying that you should spend all day, everyday in these groups. 5- 10 minutes is more than enough to be helpful and cheer others on.
Why do this? This is a great way to get more eyeballs on you. People will start recognising your name in the group as someone who is helpful and supportive. Once they know what your business is about they are more likely to recommend you because they know, like and trust you.
Want you don’t want to be doing is sliding into people DMs if they haven’t asked you to DM them. It can come across as spammy and a little needy. Instead ask the person if they have any questions and they are welcome to send their questions in a DM to you. Again, check that the group rules allow this.
Tip 2
Ensure your personal Facebook profile show off what you do. Does it have your business information on there?
You can do this in the bio section of your Facebook profile (your personal account).
When you have been helpful or supportive in a Facebook Group the next logical step for someone to take is to look at your Facebook Profile to find out what you do. People want to check out your business, they want to know what you do.
This is marketing real estate that is FREE. You definitely want to make the most of this!
In your bio, tell people what you do. It can literally be one sentence long. You can add the Facebook Pages that you manage and finally you can add your business social media links and website.
I hope you found those tips helpful on how to promote yourself in a no promo Facebook Group.
I would love to know if you have your Facebook Profile bio filled out already or if you are going to add to it
