Are you driving people away from your Instagram account?

Are people following you on Instagram and then unfollowing you?
Are people liking your post but not following you?
You’ve been stuck at the same follower count for months.

Well you could be driving people away by accident. Here’s how you can change that.

1. Get specific with your Instagram Bio

Do you have a very clear description of what you do and who you help in your bio?
This is the first thing people look at when they click on your account.
If they can’t figure out what you do or who you help, they will click away without following you.

Check out my free Instagram bio training here.

2. Be consistent

When was the last time you posted on Instagram?
Potential followers will look at your latest content. If your latest post is from last month or even longer, they know that you are only showing up now and again. They will follow someone who is more regular when it comes to posting.

3. Watch what you’re posting

If you are posting a lot of random content. By this I mean content that doesn’t relate to your business at all. It looks more like a personal profile than a business profile. This can turn people off from hitting that follow button.

4. I wanna see your face

You’ve probably heard the phrase “people buy from people” because it’s true.
People have to know you, like you and trust you to do business with you.
Unless you are getting all of your clients by referrals, it’s so important to show your face on your Instagram account.

5. Branding

By branding, I don’t mean you have to have a beautifully curated instagram feed with perfect photography. Oh no, it’s NOT Instagram 2018 (thankfully).

If you are using fonts – ensure you are using the same fonts.
If you are using graphic template – ensure you are using the same colours
If you are using Reel covers – ensure they look like they belong to the same business

Those are my 5 tips to help you attract your dream clients from your Instagram account. I would love to know what tips you found most helpful and which tip you are going to implement.
