The best content to share on Facebook

Do you struggle to find content to share on your Facebook Page? Or perhaps you have tried lots of different things but you still get crickets?
I get asked on a regular basis what is the best content for Facebook?

In this blog I share my tips on what type on content you should be posting and a juicy tip on your best opportunity of being seen in the Facebook news feed (organically).

You can watch the video below or keep scrolling for the transcript. If you are watching the video don’t forget to come back and scroll to the bottom for your free gift.

Your goal with Facebook is to create highly shareable content. Each post that you put on Facebook needs to be thumb stopping. By that I mean your post has to stop people from continuing to scroll through their news feed.

You may think that organic reach on Facebook is dead. That’s not true. Organic reach is very much alive and easy to get if you post the right content for your audience.

It’s all about finding content that your ideal client will love. So think like your ideal client. What content do they want to see from you? What do they want to watch on your page? What problems are you solving for you? Not sure about the answers to these questions, simply ask. Yep, ask the audience (maybe not in the Who Wants to be a Millionaire style though).

Video is still the best opportunity to get seen in the Facebook news feed. Sorry, I know I keep going on about video. Creating videos doesn’t mean that you have to be camera. You can create slide shows of your products.

You do need to be publishing engaging video content and posting less links on your Facebook Page. Ideally only one in four posts on your Facebook Page should contain a link. Facebook wants people to stay on their platform for as long as possible.

So if you want to drive traffic to your website, blog or shop, create video. Even if it’s only 15 seconds long. It just needs to spark enough interest for your audience to click through to your website.
